Our mission, simply stated, matches our name: Reach, Inspire, Support & Educate.
RiseKC partners with GreatJobsKC to identify and assist individuals in the Kansas City area as they strive to achieve their educational and professional goals.
People face many hurdles along the way to those dreams. For those who come from low-income backgrounds, financial setbacks can permanently derail an otherwise promising future. Many aspiring students work two or even three jobs while putting themselves through school—and still fall behind on rent and utilities.
Other talented candidates drop out when unexpected expenses arise, such as large tax bills or vehicle breakdowns. Still others never apply because they lack the time, resources, or guidance needed to navigate complex financial and academic requirements.
Since 2014, our organization has worked to remove these barriers and create opportunities for individuals in our community to succeed.
